i was a wondering is there a prog that allows a N800 to remotely interogate/control itunes on a pc or mac a la the apple kit ?

If it's to remotely control iTunes, someone has written an app for Android: http://dacp.jsharkey.org/
The protocol seems not too complicated, maybe someone with some Python hackery skills can do something similar?

There is a web based client that obviously would be accessible by the N8xx browser. I took note of it a long while back but I've forgotten where I put the link (bookmarks are not jogging memory). Do a search for it on Google. It requires an app install on the PC/Mac and turning on web sharing (if I recall correctly) but after that you're good to go.


Come to think of it, it may be a means of streaming iTunes to your tablet....

I use twonky media server (upnp) pointing to the itunes music folder - and any of the apps that support upnp music servers (canola, the nokia app) work fine on my n800...

Not quite what you were looking for - but hey, it works...
