Hello and sorry about my English:

Last week I broke my N900's screen and bought a new one (a screen, I mean). Disassembling the phone was easy (although I broke a screw's head), but now I'm scared with these damn ribbons.

There's this ribbon in particular, the one conecting the digitizer with the screen (in my N900, it's gold colour and has four "circuits"). I cannot manage to connect it with the screen's ribbon. If I just insert it, it comes off. If I apply more pressure, the golden ribbon folds up (scary!).

My best camera was the N900 itself, so I cannot take shots. Instead, I've made an image:

Is this the right way? I guess it can't be that tricky.

Thanks in advance.

Oh my God. The black little piece of plastic was actually a lock mechanism That was a dirty trick, Nokia guys.

That was extremelly helpful, thebtman. My N900 is working again.

By the way, if anybody is watching this thread because of the "broken screw head", I just destroyed it using a 300rpm small drill with a 1 mm metal drill bit. Be careful with the depth, 'cause it's easy to make a hole in the digitizer.
