It would be nice to have a source for the deb.
apt-get install -d gas-balls

Thank you, pichlo. I know the incantation. The problem seems to be that the OVI repo just doesn't work for me anymore, and it looks like I'm not the only one.

Can you try to clear microB? Also, could you try reaching the OVI site from a proxy? I'm in California, if that helps.

Aha! Thank you very much.

I wonder why. What's different? Here are the contents of my /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list for a comparison:

Code:

deb http://maemo.merlin1991.at/cssu/community-thumb/ fremantle free non-free
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/apps/ ./
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/203 ./
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle1.2/ovi/ ./
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing/ fremantle-1.3 free non-free

Clearing microb doesn't make a difference, still getting 'application package not found'..
Will have to look into how to access it via a proxy.

Just so that I' m clear, other n900 users can successfully download and install from the ovi store correct?

Thanks again...
