Why so? Seems like you've missed my post just a couple posts above yours

Someone who have Banner, does it work for you?

Greetings.

Hi all
Sorry for the late response, been a bit tied up at work.
Basically, going to the ovi store and trying to download anything gives the message 'application package not found' so I assumed the store is closed, or discontinued, if you like.

There is nothing vital i needed but it would have been nice to have or play around with some of the stuff i liked before, such as labyrinth or eggtimer (not angryman thank you very much).

Are people actually saying that they can download and install from the store then?

HtheB - yes, I've searched google and also found the site you posted, unfortunately, apart from a couple of apps, it's just games.

Thanks all for your replies

Thank you, that worked. Not sure why search didn't get it.

On the other hand, when installing from microB, the deb package is not copied to /var/cache/apt/archives

It would be nice to have a source for the deb.

I didn't have any problem downloading gas-balls from the link that RiD posted. Does that work for you?

nope, I still get 'application package not found'..
I do have the ovi repository enabled in application manager but maybe it's details have changed, I have been away for a couple of years!
if it's still working for you could you post the details so I can check against mine please...

It's weird that doesn't work for you. I thought clicking a link in the OVI store simply opened a .deb in the Application Manager and bypassed the repos.

I have an OVI repo with this information:
Web Address:
https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle1.2/ovi/
Distribution:
./
(The Components field is blank).

See if that makes a difference. but I doubt it.
