I've had ParcelFarce do that to be before with about £900's worth of computer equipment. Turned out the driver had delivered it with another box to a company a mile or so down the road. I'd call UPS asap and get them to sort it.

It went number 5, even though the driver wrote 7 on the form. When my wife checked with them the guy that answered the door denied all knowledge of a delivery which leaves me a little concerned.

UPS don't seem that bothered, the woman I spoke to said not to worry if it's lost it would be between UPS and the vendor to fund a replacement. OK but a) I've been waiting for some time of this and b) Nokia now have the UK out of stock so replacement is not going to be any time soon.

Smiley Dan, yes. Until I track her down.

Grrrrr

Here the answer I just received from Nokia
Dear Sir,

Thank you for contacting Nokia Online Sales.

In fact, I saw that you were one of the first who placed the order. Due
to unprecedented demand for the product the delivery is slightly
delayed. Estimated time of delivery is end of November 2005.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards
:,(

Mines here - ordered yesterday morning and turned up 9.30 at work - then had to wait 2 long hours for the guy to bring it to my office building.

Just charging her up - hmmm - now that is a screen and a half

Took my 770 out for lunch with some friends

It seems to have exactly the same kerb appeal that the first ipod had (before the concept of mp3 players was easily explained or understood) - people's reactions are:

"What's that"

.... you explain

"Why would you want one of those"

<look at the screen>

"Wow - that's amazing"

Took mine to the Microsoft Visual Studio Launch event at the lCC in Birmingham. I found an open access point in the Atrium and it worked really well.
