lcuk - thank you for this enormous contribution! I've been playing around with liqbase for a couple of weeks now and am addicted to its smoothness... IMO rotation of the text would be one of the most useful upgrades. Anyway, thank you for all the time you have put to this project, it was well worth it!
Good luck for your surgery!

You are more than welcome
internally liqbase supports loading in a font rotated at 90 degrees, however I have not had the time to pull it through to the rest of the system.

It would be nice to find the time to make use of this.

tooth ache is meh, I feel like I need a teething ring!!

lcuk: N800 camera rotates 180 degrees, but liqbase doesn't detect this and flip the image properly. I can take a picture with the camera flipped if I turn the tablet upside down, but that's just weird.

oh no!
a bug.

There is apparantly a flag which can be monitored to watch for camera rotation events.
I don't know what it is yet but will soon.

sorry 'bout that..

in gconf: /system/osso/af/camera-has-turned

i just wish there was a reliable way of killing that video call program on my N800...

This may help when it comes to the actual rotate stuff:

(Thanks Robot101)

@tso

I just made a script in /etc/init.d which is symlinked to /etc/rc2.d which runs gconf-tool to unset the value to start the video call app on each startup.

Disabling it from the video chat app's options menu doesn't help? It doesn't start when I open my camera.
