Does this site work on the N9 or N950?

https://read.amazon.com/

It is an HTML5 web-based version of the Amazon Reader program. It would be sweet if it worked...

No, it doesn't work on the N950, it does a browser check.
"Your web browser isn't supported yet. Download Chrome or Safari below."
Maybe it's possible to use a different user-agent string, but not sure how to do that.

D'oh! Checking for browser version is so last decade.

What would be possible is to use fennec aka firefox mobile which is available for harmattan. There it should be possible to change the user string. This might even be possible with the extension, but I could not get this one to work so far.

If someone can succeed please report here. Would be really great to be able to use it!

This combo should work....
http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?t=3647&page=10
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mob...compatibility/
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/phony/ (there may be better add-ons if you search that site)
Haven't tested as I don't have my N9 yet.

Haven't had a chance to add it to the guide yet

You can, if you request to become an editor.
By default you can only view/comment...

"This addon is not compatible with Fennec version 10.0.a1"

That is the error message I got. Too bad. It would have been nice to have an easy way to switch user-agent.

I was able to hex edit grob and throw in a new user agent once, I've been meaning to try it again. What user agent would be best for reading kindle cloud? I'd rather set a user agent that pulls up full sites instead of mobile versions

So near, and yet so far,

I've installed Fennec.

Then, I've gone into about:config and added:
"general.useragent.override" = "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X x.y; rv:10.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.1"

Now, going to read.amazon.com, I get my list of books (yay!) but it doesn't seem that Fennec is giving the local storage needed to download and read a boo (boo).

(I get the 'Error Opening Content' error message)

Darn...

^ Try the stock browser with a desktop oriented safari user agent?
Some already mentioned in that new "change your user agent" thread.
