Yellownotes has one BIG usability issue. Those control icons are WAY TOO small to be touched with a finger. I do not see, why I would have to get stylus out just to edit the note or move forward/backward on notes.
It should have configurable size for those control widgets in the settings.

Also with a double click, I would like to edit the current note straight away.

Unfortunately I don't think you will be able to scribble with a stylus directly onto a desktop widget, as all horizontal swipes will be interpreted as changing to the right or left desktop, and vertical swipes are completely ignored. Of course, you could have a widget that when clicked on would start an app or a popup upon which you could scribble, but you wouldn't be able to scribble on it directly.

Nice find SallyJane. My fingers are securely crossed that something will still come of this.

And that would be fine with me. A state like the one the desktop is in when you are able to rearrange icons....would be just as good.
I just really would like to make quick scribbled notes and also have them in view like my real post-its.

Like having the main window of PenPen (where all sketches are shown in overview) open on one desktop. That allows for both the overview and one-touch access to scribble.

Perhaps we should ask benlau to develop this ? It's an extension of his app...

+1 for something like this. Sounds useful

To extend the idea, I'd be happy with one desktop and be able to swipe between full screen apps.

I've only got a couple of applets running (to save power) and a few shortcuts on my 'home' desktop, then use the menu (MyMenu) for running most apps. So I hardly ever use my other 3 desktops.

Swiping between apps and the desktop would be cool - maybe using the top menu/status bar as the swipe area.

One desktop dedicated for a note-taking app or widget would be a good idea. I use stick notes in 2nd desktop pane. Unfortunately it doesn't let me re-size the window.

Is there any keyboard shortcut available to switch between the desktops?

(BTW he was looking at some shared code posted up by the developer who gave us PenPen sketchbook...benlau. A search should pull up the relevant threads. If anyone can get this to work, I'd be grateful )
The libpenpen should be in a usable state , however, I never integrated to another application to prove it work. So I didn't make an announcement for it.

Now I am going to integrate libpenpen with frontview, will announce once it is proved to work.

Fingers still crossed on this. Even though the N900 is a dinosaur in tech years. I have 2 of 'em and this concept would make it complete for me.
