Unfortunately I don't think you will be able to scribble with a stylus directly onto a desktop widget, as all horizontal swipes will be interpreted as changing to the right or left desktop, and vertical swipes are completely ignored. Of course, you could have a widget that when clicked on would start an app or a popup upon which you could scribble, but you wouldn't be able to scribble on it directly.

I had asked the developer of Scribble Notes (venemo) to develop this....Sticky Scribble Notes...I'm not sure he's developing for maemo anymore. Anyway, I had nagged him about it several times so I've backed off, someone else's turn now
(BTW he was looking at some shared code posted up by the developer who gave us PenPen sketchbook...benlau. A search should pull up the relevant threads. If anyone can get this to work, I'd be grateful )

It should have configurable size for those control widgets in the settings.
Also with a double click, I would like to edit the current note straight away.
