Hmm. Looks like PDair has n900 screen protectors already available.

I've had good luck with them in the past (bought my n800 leather case from them), but I don't know if I can really be sure if the protector is going to be on spec if the device isn't even out yet.

I notice that the prototype preview at http://my-symbian.com/other/preview_n900.php says:
The only thing that worries me when it comes to N900 display is its resistence to scratches and other damages. And it seems to be quite poor. I got the device without any protective case and the display got some awful scratches in just one day, and that's only because some sand grains got into the pocket I kept it in. So a good screen protector or soft carrying case seem to be a must.

Not yet available nor an image, but I'll be curious to see the final design from here: http://www.noreveusa.com/product/Nok...ther_case.html

I was aching for a black version of this case back in the day for my 770 (hand made in Spain mind you) http://www.pielframa.com/nokia_770.htm I'm sure if they made an N900 case it would be attractive.

I really hope Proporta makes one for the N900. I missed getting one for my N800.

The N900 manual says to not cover the left-hand side of the front, i.e. when the earpiece, camera, light sensor, proximity sensor and notification light are. I wonder why this is? It seems a shame as a screen protector which didn't cover that part would have a noticeable edge and not look (or feel) very good.

I've currently got a wallet type case for my N95 which allows me to carry just one thing around with me (well wallet plus keys!) so I'd like a similar case for the N900 when it arrives. Ideally with 2 or 3 credit card slots, but to be as slim as possible (not bothered about belt clips etc.)

Something like this (as iPhone isn't so different in size)

I hope that Krusell makes at least one good case for N900. I am using this http://www.krusell.se/product/2854 case now for my E90.

The left hand side contains the proximity sensor, which when covered will disable the touch screen (ie. when answering/making a call) yet this is exactly what you want to happen when placing the N900 into a pouch/wallet/whatever.

I think the manual really means not to cover the left hand side while using the touch screen - hopefully this won't be too tricky when holding it in the left hand as my left thumb always covered the light sensor on the N810!
