Can anybody point me to where the upgrade for the following libraries can be obtained from:
  • libcairo2
  • libgeoclue0
  • libgtkadi1 libosso-gnomevfs2-0
  • libosso-gnomevfs2-common
  • libpoppler1
  • libpoppler1-glib
  • libosso1

There are several apps (OS2006-based) for which there are updates available, but they fail to install because of old version of libraries. I did the due diligence and searched forums and ftp repositories, all to no avail.

Here is what I see when I try to upgrade:

/home/user # apt-get upgrade iphome
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
avahi-daemon iphome libcairo2 libgeoclue0 libgtkadi1 libosso-gnomevfs2-0
libosso-gnomevfs2-common libpoppler1 libpoppler1-glib maemo-mapper mplayer
poppler-utils python2.5-bluez python2.5-runtime
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 14 not upgraded.

TIA

is there a reason you are using the command line/apt-get instead of the app manager? the app manager should be able to handle the update/installation of iphome applet and its dependencies.

Application manager also reports missing libraries, for instance when I try to upgrade iphome, it complains about libosso1 version, and does not attempt to download it. There are 4 packages in my Application Manager that are reported as "Upgradeable, but Not Installable"
