Same as "uname -s" and plain "uname":

Code:
Linux
EDIT: I'm guessing you'll get "GNU/Linux" for these?

For uname -s or o (not correct... see edit) or just plain uname I get Linux.

I'm wondering if, perhaps, this could be related to the version of busybox

EDIT: Oops! for uname -o or uname -a I get Gnu/Linux
For uname -s or uname alone I get Linux

I don't think so... "uname" should be deriving its information from the system itself; it shouldn't be baked-in to busybox.

Was just wondering if the -a option was not working. For example, depending on busybox version "ls -ltr" will not work but "ls" does.
While you responded I had edited my post #190. Maybe has to do with Samsung's kernel. Pretty sure I got GNU\Linux using my modded kernel for kitkat. Can't verify now cause I'm on lollipop (I'm sick of these names!). I have a couple of other models at home. I'll check after work.

Ha! So what is your device. Any significant mods? kernel?

device is 一加一 (a.k.a. OnePlus One). I'm not running a modified kernel, but definitely a modified OS (Smartisan OS), because of the looks, extra functions, but mostly I really like the design

Edit:

6600 -> e60 -> n900 -> (Nokia disappoints.. :-( -- not the phone, the company and their takeover) -> Xiaomi MI2 (mainly because it's close to nexus n4, so maybe SailfishOS port..?) -> OnePlus One (Sailfish port didn't happen on MI, so a new try. There's a nice try, but there are still some bugs)

I figured out that much but which one? I expected to find the busybox but found about a hundred. How do I know which one is good?

Hmm. I don't remember explicitly installing busybox onto my M8, I'll have to check. You might try doing a "cat /proc/version", as it has almost all the same info.
