Hello,

I am too frustrated with /usr/sbin/wlancond running all the time in my N900.It eats almost 95% cpu.My battery is drained within 2-3 hours.I have searched for solution.I came to know that it was a bug pre PR-2 and 3.But after installation of CSSU stable also it is not resolving.I am unable to connect to my router after initial successful connection. It is the same with mobile data connection also. The bug that I mention is this https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6416. If the patch is available please guide me to that.I have never faced this problem in this three year period.Flashing is not useful in this regard.

Never ever faced something like this. So, sorry no solution.
But a possible workaround:
as root (or prefix commands with sudo)
Code:
/sbin/initctl stop wlancond
/sbin/initctl start wlancond

I forgot to mention the special effect. The root hangs forever.
EDIT: sometimes reboot resolves the problem and sometimes not.

??? Please elaborate.

If you mean after typing root the shell hangs,
then you might try with
Code:
sudo /sbin/initctl stop wlancond
or even harder
Code:
sudo killall wlancond

https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9153. This bug seems relavant too.Now I will try to get the bleeding edge driver. After not being in this forum for some time I forgot how to install the driver. Is it included in the CSSU by any chance?

Thank you.

I did this /sbin/initctl stop wlancond as root. The process stopped. Now I was able to disconnect the mobile internet which was automatically connected. But it is searching for my wifi for ever.Yes I did /sbin/initctl start wlancond.

If the bleeding edge helps, try it.
KP >= 51 Jason them onboard , so no need to get from anywhere.
CSSU relies on KP but better check
uname -r
ls /opt/packet-injection-modules

And as hint
the bleeding edge had (has?) a bug to drain battery when leaving the range of a WiFi connected network .

I am going to try download the fiasco and vanilla again, if it may help.I will try the bleeding edge later if the flashing fails again.
