I deleted a program and it left an entry in the "Extras" folder.
Please direct me to information on how to delete this.
Also, how do you do a "hard reset" on the N800 setting it back to factory defaults?
Thanks.
ps. I'm using my N800 right now!

You can do it from the OS it self...
From Maemo You have to install xterm... (If you dont have it install look at the HOW TO sticky)

Open xterm in xterm gainroot access (same as above)

now once in root do the following

cd /usr/share/applications/hildon
once in there look for the file name you are trying to delete by typeing ls in xterm(They are all going to end with .desktop) for example nmap.desktop
once you see the file delete the file with rm for example:
rm nmap.desktop
or
rm /usr/share/applications/hildon/nmap.desktop

You are done.

Good Luck

You should notify the package maintainer about this problem. No user should have to go through this process just to remove a start-up link.

I know that can be annoying... I am glad you got it out.
I know it does not look right to see a launcher withouth a icon or a broken launcher.
as gnuite stated please report it to the developer.

Thank You!
