Again it looks like DB has changed there web-interface. At least I always get an error "No results found" or in German "Keine Ergebnisse gefunden".

Can anybody confirm this? Is anybody still using fahrplan and N900? Is anybody working on this problem?

You could try other backends (if there are some to try...), for example sbb.ch.

I patched fahrplan again. I found two problems. The first is, that the mobile website from DB produces broken html code. There is one closing ul element without corresponding opening ul. This causes the parser to abort with an error. The second problem is, that there is one more div level to the data. I tried to fix those two problems. I didn't do intensive tests. That's up to you . In particular I don't know if train delays are detected. If you encounter any problems, try to start fahrplan from the commandline fahrplan >logfile 2>&1. The logfile will be somehow helpful.

You find my patched version here.

If you want to compile yourself or have the permission to integrate it into the repository, here is the patch.

Installation:
  1. Donwload. fahrplan to you N900
  2. chmod +x fahrplan
  3. sudo mv fahrplan /usr/bin

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 677442 2014-03-27 19:39 /usr/bin/fahrplan

needs optification, consider http://maemo.org/packages/view/maemo-optify/, http://maemo.org/packages/view/maemo-optify-runonce/, resp /usr/sbin/maemo-optify-auto-opt.sh
Code:
echo /usr/bin/fahrplan >>/etc/maemo-optify-auto-opt.conf
IroN900:~# ll `which fahrplan`
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 677442 2014-03-27 19:39 /usr/bin/fahrplan
IroN900:~# echo /usr/bin/fahrplan >>/etc/maemo-optify-auto-opt.conf
IroN900:~# maemo-optify-auto-opt.sh ;# not needed, should get called during next boot
IroN900:~# ll `which fahrplan`
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 2015-07-16 14:33 /usr/bin/fahrplan -> /opt/usr/bin/fahrplan

dehapama: many thanks! :-)

[edit] works incl optification

Joerg,
I didn't get the patched version working.
Is it possible for you to load the patched version including optification to the repos, that we are able to update fahrlpan via repos?
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I honestly completely forgot how to package stuff. I could provide a tarball and instructions eventually, e.g. here in tmo

Or, if somebody more fluent in maemo packaging would be willing to take over maintenance resp just upload a patched version to autobuilder, I'm pretty sure we can manage this going to extras-devel http://maemo.org/packages/view/fahrplan/. I'll contact the relevant people to facilitate and make this happen as soon as somebody provides the package. In case you do that, please not only provide to extras-devel but already immediately promote to extras-testing. Then everybody interested in Fahrplan please install the extras-testing version and accordingly thumb up/down the karma after checking it. So eventually it promotes into genuine maemo-extras repo

Joerg,
thanks a lot for quick response.
I followed the instructions above, but for me again only "Keine Ergebnisse gefunden".
Waiting for the patched version in maemo-extras repo.
