Can we all just agree that the first person to get a retail N900 in their hands (voice, email, and snail mail promises don't count) will post a new thread and everyone else will just sit quietly and wait until then.

That puts it after the HTC HD2, which means I'll probably wait until January or so to get this handset since I'll grab the HTC when it hits. Probably for the best anyways, since then I won't have to face the pain of the first firmware and its associated problems...

I just got off of the phone with Nokia USA... "official" word from the order-status-checker-guy is that the target is still mid-November, although it is very possible they will ship sooner. The reason given for the delay was lack of stock to fulfill all pre-orders at once.
