Make it battery-moded Hard-cover 2 birds with one stone, more batterylife and good case for traveling.

source ITviikko.fi

Step 1: ultra-nerd

Step 2: normal-nerd

Step 3: mainstream

so I think Step 4 will be for developed countries ( vs 100 dollars laptops ) and step 5 would be turning the whole business into Internet Tablet and drop the mobile-phones. :P

I have a jacket from Dickies that looks like a windbreaker with a fleece lining. It has a inside breast pocket that actually holds my N800 nicely. Though, if I add my cell phone, it does produce a noticeable bulge in my chest. Maybe I need one of those "under arm" holsters, modified for a PDA and cell phone ;-)

I don't think he said that step 3 is mainstream. Step 4/5 may be mainstream, but not 3 yet. It was proconsumer or prosumer or something like that.

My guess for steps 4 and 5:

4) carrier/vendor service integrations (Sprint WiMAX, possibly better/official tie-ins with Google, etc.)

5) consumer grade third party apps

And, integration with Google's "phone" software could happen with either #4 or #5. Or it could be that the consumer grade third party apps comes with the other things mentioned in step 4, and step 5 has more to do with traditional phone radio features.

...and will include a mini "Robovac" or "Roomba" on the device.

I wish there was a Scottevest retail dealer here in Finland. I've been thinking of buying one of their regular jackets for some time now, but I would like to try them on first. I don't want to pay $ 150-250 for a jacket which doesn't fit well. And there may be some customs/duties added to that price when ordering outside of EU.

But well, maybe I'll keep on wearing hoodies with pockets big enough to hold my 770.
