I bought a used Nokia N900. It is a little bit messy, old files, unused folders etc. I tried to flash it with the "Nokia Software Updater for Retail", but it didn't work. Most of the stuff was still there. What is the best way to completely reset the phone? (I read the wiki, but most of the links are dead).

Read all of http://wiki.maemo.org/Reflash several times very carefully.

The flasher and two images you require are linked there.

There is only one way to reset the device completely which is to reflash combined and emmc to stock.

Welcome to Maemo, BTW

@sixwheeledbeast i've read it, but all the downloads link me to a "Not Found"-Page, so i thought the flasher is not longer relevant or available.
@nokiabot Thank you, that's what i needed.
