Yea... Still needs work getting the size down... I'll have to go back through and disable more of the unnecessary things. I'm still looking into why its giving that message. Might be the pill mode.

interesting...so, this could potentially do a better job of playing certain codecs the mplayer has a problem with???

Possibly... I use vlc primarily on my desktop, so I'm hoping to get close to the same features on the IT

Hmmm, thought here. If you made something this size install to /usr/local then it would bee simple to format at least part of an mmc to ext2 and symlink to the mmc [user local on the mmc, in other words] Then a 40M install wouldn't be as painful.

Its excellent I watched a film using it on the way to work :-)
The only problem I have is that it doesn't seem to disable the screensaver, so it all goes dim every so often. Is there a setting in the vlc.desktop that can fix this ?
