they react now my style amazing well.. I try to do some
sample sheet for brushes that you know how "I" use those.

I hope that Aapo could replace mine current crappy brush kit for

Just downloaded it as soon as I noticed it under Fresh in Downloads. This is one of the best apps available for the N900 imo. I had no idea the screen recognizes pressure, this is wonderful.

My only issue with it is sometimes when I open it, it closes itself before it comes up. Opening it again and again eventually works.

Other than that it's wonderful. It requires some learning curve tho, some built in tutorial would be nice. Have you considered a graphic UI? I mean instead of the menus, perhaps on one of the sides? Also how about zooming? And a full screen mode for more drawing space?

Hi!
I am sorry... I try to hide my "old" link .. I have IMPROVED so much MyPaint Pressure Sensitivity Mapping... and NEW AMAZING Brushes.

I just slow down... and push these things out... I can always make
and improve more... maybe next version of Tone's Brush Set..

There is now about 120 new and old brushes ... all these are OPTIMIZED... they should work quite speedy.

..there is now Great WET Oil and Watercolor and Ink tools...
Watercolor pencils... and Conté etc...

I have to only to do some "proper icons for those about +60 NEW brushes"...

I will release these V2 Brushes and NEW Pressure Mapping soon!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: Here we come!

REMEMBER!

Use Included "settings.conf"
- so you get NEW Global Pressure Mapping values..
all these brushes are calibrated with "it".

I tried the streak, sparkle and furry? (default and then one of the black sparkly ones) brushes a few times but every time I use it mypaint stops reacting and cpu usage goes up to 100%

Closing the app gives a not responding dialog. Task switching etc does still work.

Is this brush so amazing that it will need more than a minute of full cpu to draw a line or is this a bug?

-- edit --
Some more testing shows that these brushes just take a very long time to draw. Perhaps put them in a separate set of slow brushes? prevents people from wondering if the app crashed or not

I got the same problem. Normally a second start works. I hope this will be fixed in the next version.

I believe that is a known bug with python apps on maemo.. not sure where I found that info though and can't find the bug again atm.

Try to open the app and then wait (may take up to a minute). Usually you will have clicked it again by now but if you don't you will most probably see it appear again. It doesn't crash as much as not indicate that it is still loading.

Well Tone does have his CPU overclocked so he can cook eggs on his phone. That might be the reason for the slowdowns.

Ouh.. I am very very sorry to that I have included that "amazing" Brush to my set.

I must say that it takes forever if you are not careful with it..
and "This is true about MyPaint and my workstation.. Core i7
with 12GB..." MyPaint is not so good to handle brushes that are
squashed to flat" = "elliptical dab:ratio". So it is not my fault

And it is amazing brush if you want to make some Streaks.. sunstrokes.. caustic effects and so on.. I love it and it is very useful
to "me".

I try to show how this brush works and what amazing things you can do with if you are bit creative.

EDIT: Yes, I am using 1.15GHz Overclocked N900.

EDIT2: What canvas size you use with those brushes?
I have tested those with "stock 600MHz clock" settings and
they work bit "slow" but it is enough for me...
I am very slow guy

Thanks!

Dont be daft. The brushes are fine, I just thought stupid users *points at self* might be less confused if there was some indication that these brushes are slow. And with slow I really mean that I draw a line and then wait upwards of 1 minute, I clocked it to be 104 seconds once.

I honestly haven't got a clue. Checked any settings in the menu that I could find but no canvas size... After zooming in 10x (i.e. pressing "." ten times) the line was drawn in 5 -10 seconds. So I guess the size is the problem here.

Hi!
I am quite daft what comes about MyPaint and N900

But it would be a very good idea if somebody..
collect brushes and organize those.. with
"slow", "fast" brushes .. maybe?

Or maybe in future I could mark "slow" brushes with
some "color code"..

But now.. Let's doodle!
