Beat2x is a game in the style of Dance Dance Revolution and Stepmania where the player needs to press the buttons in synchronization with the rhythm of the music to score points.

Ported from gp2x

Input configured for GameGripper:
Up=W
Left=A
Down=X
Right=D
L=T
R=U
A=L
B=Up_Arrow
Y=P
X=Left_Aroow
Select=M
Start=B

Hold Select and Start button=Quit to main menu

DDR_Mix1 Pack Installed
Additional song packs can be download from THIS site.
You can convert StepMania .sm files with THIS app.
Copy uncompressed Folders to /opt/beat2x/Packs

Binary for arrow keys
Copy to /opt/beat2x folder and overwrite old binary!
Buttons: WASD and Arrows
L=.
R=enter
Start=B
Select=M

If you set Control Mode in Settings to Combined or Stick, you can use arrows for play
I suggest Combined...

Correct me if I am wrong, but beat2x is that game that looks like DDR?

Game crashes for me after loading screen..

Code:
~ $ /opt/beat2x/beat2x
Error reading <data/splash.bmp>: Couldn't open data/splash.bmp
~ $ ls /opt/beat2x/data/
loading.bmp settings.dat. splash.bmp
Thanks for your efforts

Edit: wrong executable..

/opt/beat2x/apstart crashes, with
Code:
Error reading <themes/default/intro.ogg>: Module format not recognised

packages missing: libmikmod2 (=3.1.10)

What are the permissions/ownership on your data/splash.bmp file?

Permissions are fine, (rwx all the way) but see my edit above, I was launching the wrong thing from the command line anyway.

Edit: mplayer plays /opt/beat2x/themes/default/intro.ogg fine (just audio)

apt-get update && apt-get install libvorbis0a libmikmod2
but i think when install the game, this packages will be installed automatically...

dpkg -l says both
libmikmod2 3.1.11-a-2
and
libvorbis0a 1.2.3.tk1
are already installed :/

Edit: though above poster says libmikmod2 3.1.10 is required..

libmikmod2 (>= 3.1.10)
so newer works...
