It looks like price drop for EU is near:

handyattacke...226 EUR
mobilejoker...235 EUR

They are not yet available, but the status says "ordered, arriving".
Both sites seem to ship across EU.

Prices are a little screwy here in the UK, and not in a good way.

Amazon yesterday were showing the N800 at £269. Today it's showing at £239.

That's probably the lowest UK price, but it's still not as cheap as the rest of the world. £239 is 343 Euros, or a comical US$488 -- around TWICE the price it costs in the United States. But the UK price includes taxes (VAT at 17.5%) and delivery.

Even weirder are Amazon's prices for the N770. I think I'm right in saying that Amazon is the last place in the UK selling N770s, or at least the last large retailer. Last week the N770 with Navigation Kit was £139. I bought one based on this price and am very happy . Now it's GONE UP to £169.

Britain is clearly the land that Nokia forgot.

To be honest, as great as it is, I don't think the N800 is worth £239 (343 Euros/$488). At that price, it's still in the "gadget freak" pricing zone.

But it's got to be said that the N770, as imperfect as it is, is perfect for me right now

Verkkokauppa, the Finnish shop that accidentally had the N810 listed earlier, now has the N800 for €269, down from €399 a couple of days ago. It's available at this lower price right now.

There's definitely been an EU price drop which is more-or-less similar to the US drop.

Actually, Amazon had the 770+Nav Kit at £99 the week before it was £139, so I suspect they dropped the price to clear out any excess stock, which they have now done.

Blimey! £99 would have been an insane bargain. The Nav Kit costs around £75, so you were getting the 770 for £25. I would have bought a load and sold them separately on eBay. The going price for even a second-hand 770 is around £80.

The price is now at £129. I bought mine last week for £139 and I complained to Amazon, so they've refunded me £10. Apparently they always do this if the price drops within 30 days of purchase. Somebody should create a piece of software that background-checks this on your behalf until the 30 days are up...

damn, I always wished I'd bought a 770 for 80 quid, so missing out on the navkit deal makes me feel quite sad.

I did buy a 770 for £79 (inc shipping). I wouldn't have minded the nav kit though.
As is said though, over £240 is in the expensive gadget catagory for me, and as I have the 770 and a jailbroken iPod, I don't really need another thing at the moment.

Hotukdeals are reporting Play.com are taking orders at £149.

Now if only my 770 hadn't just got the dreaded White Screen Of Death, I might be more inclined to buy one myself.

I spotted this a week or so ago, and have placed an order. Note that they're not delivering orders until November, so this is probably a new product line at the cheaper price. I anticipated other UK stores to follow suit but they're still at around £220. Maybe they'll fall in price after November.
