I have been discovered.
The incredible deductive powers of Maemish have unraveled my sinister plots.
Oh...I am undone, found out, and now I must initiate the final sanction.
REALLY?
If I bothered with 14 000 bots ...infiltrating any place for secrets...
THIS place would be the very last on my list..
I can think of a good million other places first...
the 1st 1/2 being purely to profit from...
the 2nd 1/2 being to garner info from far far far more wealthy folks and thereby extort a hideous sum in blackmail ...

As you can see from the declining amount of ghosting guests, the flood is starting to get under control.
We have been targtted by a horde of bots but techstaff has been able to blacklist most of them by now, and it is expected that the flood will hopefully pass to pester some other site with less protection.
If someone feels that they have been blacklisted by accident, please contact council or techstaff email address and we'll sort it out.

Was anyone alble to pin down the cause for all this from last year?
I was reminded, last night as I wasn't able to sleep in a hotel, that I maybe destroyed two routers by using them to access the internet. I remembered this thread, too.
A few years ago two different routers broke down within a few weeks from when I started using them. Neither was repaired. They were both replaced. I wondered if they overloaded like this site did last year. Who knows...how do you make that old, pre-emogi, graphic that looks like a shrug? lol.
