Hi all,

This is my first post here, thanks for maintaining the community for Maemo OSes and devices here for so many years, it's an irreplaceable resource. I'm a long time fan of Nokia phones but from the "other" side of the fence (Symbian). I recently got an N9 and N900 to play with and wow did I miss out back in those days!

I'd like to give these phones a thorough test so I know what is working and what isn't. Do the N9 and N900 have self-test functions or applications like this available: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....andTest&hl=en

I have looked around the wiki and searched the web for this but not found anything yet. Maybe I was using the wrong search terms, or maybe they don't exist?

All helpful replies appreciated!
Cheers

There are.
Cannot remember the names but can check for N900 tomorrow.
For N9 would need to charge and check if it boots...

or maybe I mix it and it was only for N9?
definitely some kind of application

Thanks.
Exactly that were my search terms yesterday night:
'nokia n900 health check'
But I did not get any results

Are we that old and getting popped from the google stack?

So, yeah. I mixed it up.
Charged and booted up my little drawer treasures.

So cute
Especially the multi OS selection (see attached pic). Thanks @juiceme!

But also sliding out the HW keyboard of my N950!

Back to thread topic:
there was/is health check for N900
and for N9 there was only 'screen light' (I guess from openrepos).

Thanks for the tips to use those apps. I'm currently having difficulty accessing maemo.org/packages but I found the Screen Light app for the N9 on my-symbian.com/meego and Health Check for the N900 on my-symbian.com/maemo. I'll try them as soon as I can.

For other functions on the N900, I guess therefore it's just a case of finding apps that use them and testing them, or writing my own app?!
