The DHL delivery guy finally found me, and I have the tablet with me now. Or at least a tablet-sized parcel that might or mightn't contain something

Im keeping myself in suspense until I get home and open it...

Are your really sure? It's a composite not completely mad of wood. So maybe it's not so easy to bring on a durable paint. But on the other hand it isn't so bad anymore, if you know the reason for that strange look

Same here, if it's supposed to be like that because it's wood it's ok.

That's quite the assumption. Perhaps it came out of pocket and above all, you cannot have low morale at a company so this could be seen as an investment. Regardless, let the stuff play out before making more assumptions perhaps?

Well, I was just joking. But I have ordered 2. The walnut and the curly birch. I've gotten a confirmation of order but I do not know how long it will take to make it to me.
