Hi,

this morning when I was playing some media files, I noticed a lit pixel (seems to be a hot/stuck pixel), it's not that annoying and it's in the top left quadrant close to the edge, I know it's there (could swap it @ Tiger direct for another one), but it's ok... do other people have these on their n800's ? I saw some threads on dead pixels, but did not know if people had the opposite as well.

Thx
Houman

I used to have a little proggie for curing a hot pixel on my Archos. It worked perfectly, but unfortunately it's a Java program, so Itablets are SOL.

You could try applying pressure to it with your stylus or a toothpick. People claim this works sometimes. How much pressure, you ask? Weeellll, that's easy: Just a little less than is needed to crack your screen.

Just remember: A hot pixel is not the same as a dead pixel. The former can be revived, as it's basically a case of digital dementia (the pixel is stuck in a certain state and needs to be coaxed to remember what it's supposed to do). A dead pixel is... well: dead.

I can't seem to find the Java program anymore. If I stumble over it, I'll let you know.

Try this: http://www.killdeadpixel.com/

An animated GIF purported to work in such cases...good luck!
