My 5800XM could automatically check my email by auto connecting to the internet, syncing the email, and auto disconnecting from the internet at a desired time interval. Can I achieve something similar with my N900? I have Autodisconnect app installed to auto disconnect when idle. Is there an app or setting available that will force auto connect prior to trying to sync email?

i have a similar need :P just yesterday i realize that.
i think that in extras is an app to manually connect wlan
ill search for it, maybe i just dream it

I have a related problem but other needs:
How could I disable automatic updates of my INBOX when I have no Internet connection and want to look in my INBOX? As of now, as soon as I open my INBOX, the email program wants to connect to the server and sync. Since it's not possible, I'm left staring at the little rotating wheel thingy and not the INBOX content.

Anyone? I recall reading on a few occasions that others have automatically synced their email. I just don't recall where or how.
