I have installed latest SFOS SDK, and trying to get 1st example to run, but SDK launches these virtualboxen OK, but never connects - just left with endless "connecting" notification.
- Tried turning off windows firewall
- tried running virtualbox manager as admin, and starting vms from there (so they are already running bfore SDK starts)
- virtualbox was warning about error in configuration (no hardware virtualization), so fixed that.

Is the network cable in virtualbox settings connected or enabled?

The emulators each have two network adaptors,
Adaptor1 is Attached to NAT
Adaptor2 is Attached to Internal Network, name SailfishOS-SDK
Under tools, Virtualbox Host-only Ethernet Adaptor was on 192.168.56.1
I tried changing into lan range (192.168.1.199) and also configure automatically
