(what does "cyclical Browser crash" even mean, consecutive/repeatable crashes when starting browser?)
Browser crash when loading page (2.1.0.9+)

This basically means the Sailfish Browser randomly starts to crash when loading any URL, until it recovers a random time later and starts to work normally again. It's pretty annoying, especially due to the Sailfish Browser being the default browser for opening of URLs from other apps and there not being a simple way (AFAIK) to switch that to another browser (Web Pirate, Web Cat, etc.).

Also, AFAIK at least Kimoli is getting the same behavior, so it's not an isolated thing.

I just got the browser crashes on the tablet, too. First, a newspaper website with about 1MB in JS crashed all other open applications (apparently 1MB of JS translates to 2GB of RAM), then suddenly the browser crashed as well and restarting it just made it crash again multiple times in a row. I don't use the browser very often but this is just awful. How does this even happen? Once again the Jolla 1 looks like a recent top of the shelf model, with exactly none of these issues.

Out of those 3, i "only" had the random system crash on Jolla 1 and C.
No Problem in Browser so far, using it constantly.
The Jolla C swipe problem was only present in 2.1.0.9 for me and seems solved in 2.1.0.11.
Maybe its worth mentioning that i did not update to 2.1.0.10 but directly from 09 to 11.

In web pirate :

in tabs view : pulley menu "settings" -> "general" -> tick "as default browser"

don't know for other browser, but code of webpirate is open, so one can look there how there a doing it.

Yes the guardian crashes.
But any site to try that crashes on 2.10.11 but not on 2.0.5.6?
I have twitter, fb, linkdin and my company tabs always open and switch betwen them with no probs.

You could also use Mimer for that: https://openrepos.net/content/llelectronics/mimer

I wonder why this isn't part of the basic system functionality yet.
