Well.. i tried.

Don't be emotional, they are making business, they don't give a f... this.

Is his job, and Nokia hired him.

Lets move on with Jolla, that its a great little promising company, with guys like us inside (they love doing this)

So, you were serious, wow...
It was never going to happen anyway, but approaching him "directly" is just about the worst way to go about it.
That's not meant as a personal attack, you had the best intentions no doubt.

So Nokia would be the only company able to port Sailfish to N9 properly, which I guess they would not even think of it.

Nemo is the closest you will get. Putting the open parts of the Sailfish UI on there could be done by the community (which this thread is about).
Isnt most the stuff in nemo?

AFAIK Only think not working is GPS and NFC?

And in case on NFC libhryis could maybe be the solution.

and when talk bout gps wasn't there some reverse engineering ongoing?

Someone should leak Nokias GPS protocol...

Yup, and did all of the hardware work? Probably not. Not many things from Sailfish were demoed on the N950.

Yeah, I have been looking at it a bit. Not really that much success since I do have a lot of other things on my mind presently

Well, it's fairly complicated system. The gps driver just pushes filtered satellite timing data to the driver, and the Nokia Positioning Daemon (nped) then calculates the position drom time differentials.

I think Jolla has a masterplan to kill Microsoft.

It will start with that they give sailfishOS update for free to Nokia N9 . It wiill be released at the Nokia World comming month.

That way they help themself to succes with theyr first phone. Then 2015 next Jolla phone gets release and 2016 Jolla is so damn big that all the nokia employers get hired by Jolla and Elop will just sit there cry like a baby "why did I write that stupid letter buhu"
