Thanks pali for referring to original files.

If I'm reading this correctly the new method does no longer regenerate the mount-opts file during boot, while the old method regenerated this file at every boot? (Before the mount-opts-overwrite files was used for user specific options, but with new method this is no longer needed due to mount-opts not being overwritten no more?)

Can someone with latest CSSU and normally working N900 post the /etc/default/mount-opts file contents here for comparison?

Especially I'm wondering what the fmask value should be... I have seen either 0133 or 000 being used... Which one is correct for MyDocs?

now /etc/default/mount-opts is installed by system update and this file should not be modified!!! (it is also written in the first line)

file mount-opts-overwrite should be used for overwriting original values in mount-opts.

pali:

My mount-opts file after latest CSSU looked like this:

# Options for mounting user's filesystems

home_opts=rw,noatime,errors=continue,commit=1,data =writeback,"
fat_opts="noauto,nodev,nosuid,noatime,nodiratime,u tf8,uid=29999,shortname=mixed,dmask=000,fmask=0133 ,rodir"

I added this line to make my MyDocs to mount properly:
vfat_opts="$fat_opts"

The first line does not mention anything about not editing the file? Maybe the CSSU did not update my mount-opts file for some reason?

you should have this file https://gitorious.org/community-ssu/...ian/mount-opts in /etc/default/mount-opts

otherwise update was not successful...

I think problem is because this etc file is debian conffile and sometimes if original version was edited new updated version was not replaced...

I will try to prepare new version of upstart package which replace /etc/default/mount-opts even if user edited old version...

I replaced my mount-opts file with the correct file from gitorious and everything seems to work normally.

Thanks pali, I also think it is the source of the problem:

# ls /etc/default/mount*
/etc/default/mount-opts
/etc/default/mount-opts.dpkg-dist

And the mount-opts.dpkg-dist seems to be up-to-date. I cannot remember I have ever touched /etc/default/mount-opts, but maybe some third party app did. So I just renamed mount-opts.dpkg-dist to mount-opts.

I have an issue in last few days when listening to music through someplayer and symphonie. The music suddenly loses sync during playback and becomes fast - this happens from time to time.
I checked the packages which were updated in the last two weeks and noticed that the following were also updated (old version -> updated version):

libpulse-mainloop-glib0 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6 -> 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6+thumb0
libpulse0 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6 -> 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6+thumb0
pulseaudio 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6 -> 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6+thumb0
pulseaudio-esound-compat 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6 -> 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6+thumb0
pulseaudio-module-bluetooth 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6 -> 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6+thumb0
pulseaudio-module-gconf 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6 -> 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6+thumb0
pulseaudio-module-hal 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6 -> 0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu6+thumb0

if this might be the cause - which one should I revert back to try and solve this issue?

new version of upstart source package will force overwriting that file. currently it is in cssu-devel.
