Is it possible to delete files using the N900 only (not via PC), preferrably GUI based? If so, how? I ask in order to be able to free up space in case I need it for recording video, etc, when I don't have access to a computer. I usually load up my MicroSD with media files which I end up not needing after I've watched them and so I could use the free space when needed.

You could use the File Manager.
