Well I have not found anything. Also if you believe it's stable then best to get it to testing an let other people vote. If you find or have a report of a bug in the meantime you can thumb it down then get it patched.

In older versions, the first item was "choose dish" which you could select again. Could reintroduce some dummy item, but I am not really waiting for an extra item in the list.
a) I may never cook "apple pie" again.
b) there is limited space for items so I would have to prioritize.

Dummy option is a possible solution. I have just added a "Choose Dish" "00:00:00" to the top of my list. Works OK.

How about an idea for a more elegant solution...

Dummy option that can't be removed as above called Clear. This changes to "Choose DIsh" "00:00:00".

If you change the time to 00:00:00 reset name to "Choose Dish" (dummy/clear option).

If you change the time from 00:00:00 manually, prompt for two options:- edit list (jumps to a new edit item slot) or skip (Changes name to "Custom Timer")

Edit: Also is there a reason why the edit list is only 15 items long?

removing it is a few clicks away...

I use 6 items at the moment. I only have basic ingredients like pasta and vegetables. The rest I tweak at the moment I need it.

The first two sound most viable to me.

Did you finally find out I use the code "if user == 'sixwheeledbeast' then max_items = 15 else max_items = 30".??

I programmed it so I can be flexible with the amount of items, but as I said, I only use 6 now. More items means more scrolling (in the edit menu at least). What's your suggestion?

That makes sense. I know the last would mean a lot more code.

LMAO. I wondered why you had "cat /etc/hostname" in your python file, all that just for me

Well I see no problem in making it 50 (or more).
If you don't use them the save button says at the bottom anyway.

Although if the list is that long it would be nice to have it sorted A-Z.

So it is, I have added my items alphabetically myself so never noticed.

At first, thanks very much for this useful little application!

I noticed something disturbing since one of the last updates:
cooktimer does not ring the alarm when i am in "silent mode" anymore. I don't know if this new behaviour is considered a feature, but i liked it the other way because there was no need to check the phone's profile when setting an alarm. this was a feature which seperated cooktimer from the other alarm apps available.
Could you reanable the old behaviour were the alarm sound was only controlled by the volume buttons, but not the profile?

I think you are aware of the workaround I use in case of a silent profile: play via mplayer.
Well, I still do. But mplayer does not produce sound anymore in silent profile it seems No idea what changed. I will investigate further.

Confirming, mplayer is now perfectly silent in silent mode. I have sneaky suspicion, that it changed during last CSSU update (I'm not aware on anything else on my device, which could affect it). No idea or hard proofs, but maybe it's good idea to ask if they have changed something?

This thought crossed my mind to, but I have no device without CSSU to compare it.
Perhaps someone without CSSU could test if mplayer is still producing sound using silent profile?

Mplayer has not been updated since ages, so a change in this program could not have caused this.

AFAIK reinob doesn't use any flavor of CSSU, yet. Are You here, mate?
