Hi there

I've just upgraded to Diablo, updated the latest updates...

It seems the built in email client - Modest ? - doesn't autoupdate the inbox. I've set autoupdate to 5 mins... but no flashing lights, no updates. I have to open the mail client, select the inbox... THEN the client connects.

Any idea?

No ideas?
What about the other Diablo users out there?
Do you have problems with auto updating the inbox?

I have the same issue.
I think it's Bug 3689.
I'm still troubleshooting mine, as others don't seem to have this problem.
in the meantime, please vote for that bug.

Thank you for the reply.
Seems the bug is for N800 only - mine is a N810, bug is only when configured an IMAP account as far as I can check...

As is mine.
Works with POP.
Doesn't work with IMAP

It could also be #3542 from the description. And, after some hackery last night, has now got an internal bug ID against it - and hopefully enough information to pin it down.

I've noticed exactly same behaviour.
Sometimes I don't really get what should I do to update inbox.
Sometimes clicking "refres" will do sometimes it's required to click on other elements just like mentioned "inbox".

Right, I've solved my "not-auto-updating-inbox" bug: #3542.

Deleting a connection I'd restored from a chinook backup, and recreating my wireless LAN connection in Control Panel > Connectivity has made auto-updating email & RSS work.

(Let's just say that I've gone back to my OS2005-levels of Backup/restore trustiness: i.e. not a lot)

I don't think that solves the problem.
Back 2 months as I bought my N810 I installed Diablo right atfer taking the device out of the box... I configured everything directly under Diablo, also mailboxes. With no success in auto-updating.
