You might be in for a surprise, then. It is the way things are installed and uninstalled on Android (or at least it was the way the last time I cared about Android, which was about 4-5 years ago). You can root your phone/tablet and remove preinstalled crapware by simply deleting the relevant APK.

So, I've uninstalled play store "legally" by longpressing the icon..

I've removed the above mentioned APKs from the directory and restarted Jolla.

Threema says now, there's no push method available - so far so good.

But the other Apps, that normally depend on Google (like Google Maps, etc.) don't show the famous error about missing Google Services.. Hmm...

Try restarting Android. Or the whole phone.
