Hi all!

I have read all the news/posts related to this sad day and I'm stlll love my mobile computer..Unfortunately I didn't had enough time to dig into Qt/GTK world or to be active into this great community.

I'm a Linux Sysadmin/Java Developer and I see many people like me out there....I love the fact that I can write perl/shell scripts or even java apps and web apps on the top of tomcat (using arm's jre ) on this unique device.

I would like to see this community as active as it is today for a long period of time.I hope that maybe one day another brave company will create a similar device for such a small market share.

R.I.P. Nokia, you gave a great device to the linux geeks community.

Lots of people agree with you (including me). Please see the existing thread and stop making life hard for the moderators by posting yet another.

I don't really mind this news, Nokia dropped the N900 a long time ago,
it's this community that has made it a device to really care about.
it will continue on as long as there is a community that want to carry on supporting it.
Just wish they had seen the potential too

long live TMO

Well... supporting all of it, except the closed-source parts like the drivers.. the media player, the calendar, and all the other parts that SHOULD be installable apps but you can't remove without breaking everything.

If Nokia were smart, they would at least save some face and actually OPEN all these things up. ...or at least stop putting up barriers to them opening up for the community to support themselves.
