So, I got everything running and up-to-date again and tried it.

It works really well, thank you so much!
The large display makes navigating long/big directories almost pleasant – much more so than on the phone, and sometimes it's more effective than navigating on kodi itself.

Can you tell me which steps you took to get the sfos sdk building it? Or did you do it differently? (This is an awesome opportunity to learn stuff )

opened the project with the sfos sdk after attempting to build it broke because setgid and setguid headers weren't available for whatever reason, I assume because of a none harbour build, so I just found the required headers online and added them.

Am I correct that to set up root password one must use developers mode? I tried this and while a password can be generated it will not save it. Some guidance would be helpful here! Thanks!

Yes, use Developer mode, and I just entered a password and hit save - same as on the Phone - if you have one

Yes. I have a jolla phone but it doesn't get much use right now. Only when on international travel. Regardless, thanks! Your suggestion jarred my memory! I forgot I needed to use devel-su when in terminal!

Hmmm.... I can't seem to find one of the most useful apps for me.
File Browser.
It's on my Jolla phone. Is it not available for tablet?
