Tried un-installing and re-installing but still it doesn't work - clicking on the shortcut does nothing...
the same here.

Yes, reproduced. Curiously enough this didn't happen with the previous hildon-desktop I used... either way must be a .desktop file error.

Nope, I tried running the game from the terminal - still it didn't load...

It loads from terminal, you have to launch /usr/games/openttd

I am really nejoying this game, thanks a lot for you hard work.

Any plans to port the 1.0.1 version? 0.7.4 is useless since public servers are not supporting it anymore. As we know you can play whole day or weeks sometimes and would be nice to use N900 just to occasionally check how your tycoon empire doing Seems to me like most of active servers are always few versions ahead why not jump to 1.0.1 straight away?

Broken here as well. I have a fresh PR1.2 setup, installed openttd and made sure that openttd-data and openttd-opengfx are installed, but when launching /opt/openttd/openttd, I get an "Error: Cannot open file 'sample.cat'". Seems like some data file is missing. Also: "-sh: /usr/games/openttd: not found" (although oddly enough, the file seems to be there when doing ls /usr/games/ but cat /usr/games/openttd says "No such file or directory").

problem lies in symlink /usr/games/openttd -> ../share/games/openttd/openttd
to correct this:
rm /usr/games/openttd
ln /usr/share/games/openttd/openttd /usr/games/openttd -s

or alternatively you can edit /usr/share/applications/hildon/openttd.desktop and correct Exec= line.

i also needed to unpack sample.cat from original ttd to /opt/openttd/data

Why? Installing openttd-opengfx creates an empty sample.cat.

Here you are: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...emo1_armel.deb

It's not tested at all. I don't own the TTD game. I just updated sources, patches and recompiled.

Note that this introduces quite a few bugs, including a crash when changing resolutions. I fixed this on the garage svn a ~ month ago

(yes I have had unreleased 1.0 builds for a while ).

The issue is that for online play right now you need more stuff than just bumping the version number (afaiu some servers are checksumming data files now), and of course getting music to work is a pain (unless I resort to cheap "just open two PA contexts in two different threads"...). At least free sound files are working.
