Per the news conference, there is something being developed(as there always is) but we won't see it for a longtime yet.

meaning the 770 will be exact the same hardware as the one selling now and OS 2006 just a simple software upgrade?

So, i can go ahead and buy the nokia 770 without worries?

Certainly without any worry that the hardware's about to be made obsolete.

I have had mine crash on several occasions when I have been taking my headphones out of the jack. I reported this to Nokia months ago. I don't know if the OS upgrade can fix this or not, but I hope so.

don't get me all psyched up, though--

I haven't even decided if I am going to immediately abandon my current OS with all of its wonderful hacks and crazy software patches that make it the wonderful machine it is
(I believe OS2006 WILL have an equivalent to the flash Swap, though...)

-its probably just a small DNS hiccup, though

But seriously, they should release a WORKING IT-2006 update. Not a half-baked shitty thing that will get all people to whine because its buggy.

I know, i'm waiting it as much as everybody else, and plan to install it the minute i see it released. But i still want them to release a good working update, not a crappy thing they will eventually update in the given month or so.
