Found him on github. https://github.com/chfoo
Found these links on github. I don't have any idea what they are yet, but they seem useful regarding OVI Store.

It is archive.org. It is the domain name of Internet Archive based in San Francisco whose mission is to preserve the Internet and provide those contents for free. It is a member of International Internet Preservation Consortium and interestingly, it is designated as a library by State of California.

It basically archives the internet, and so preserves it. One other thing that it is known for is its Way back Machine. You can access the site you want on a given date. Like, if you open maemo.org and select the date you want then you can browse the site as it actually was on that date.

Oh sorry! I don't have an idea. If those paid apps are on the Nokia's servers it is possible the backup has them too. But then, the one who uploaded it could get in some legal problems. I may have downloaded the archive, if I had space on my HDD. And then my Internet is kinda slow.

Why you do not look at the contens listed on that web site?

And it contains only free apps, otherwise it would be piracy (and surely not hosted by archive.org).

Hi, I upload that tar. I saw a link to my archive on the 2015-01-27 Meeting Minutes.

The project to download the store hasn't started yet. The person writing the scripts (https://github.com/arkiver2) is almost done, but is busy right now.

I recommend visiting http://archiveteam.org/ and joining #archiveteam on EFNet to be kept informed.

@chfoo
Thanks a lot.

I do hope he will get that done soon, as the store seems to be shut down in some parts of the world already.

As a reminder, the very helpful scripts posted here won't capture any debs for apps that you paid for.

You can use N9 QTweak to accomplish this for harmattan. For fremantle, the easiest way to recover your paid debs would be to visit the store via a desktop/laptop web browser, but using a maemo n900 user agent. Collecting the deb should then be as simple as clicking "download".
