Obviously we have lost the knowledge about viruses from the millions of years of evolution. We can't eradicate the virus!
This is just a test from mother nature, China or Cyrus the virus.
What we should do is to move all the humans according to age.
Starting with the biggest country starting with letter A and move everybody over the age of 100 to that one. Then, take the biggest one starting with B and move everyone that is 99, skip C, and then move everyone at age of 98 to the biggest D country and so forth.

We will most likey see what is happening and it will be clear to everyone what is going on.

Vaccine. Temparary at best. Useless at worst. Ban smokes, coke, suger, fast food and order everyone to walk,run or jump 20 miles a day with or without face mask.

Then we suddenly relize that the citizens of A,B,D,E,F,G,H,I and the next 30 letter countys lost almost all of it's citizens within a few years. But what is worse is the 70% of the youngest counties lost far more citizens due to the flu.

Trump or someone else doesn't matter.

The virus will go away, but only when the the nature decide it's time. Most likely because something worse is coming...Aliens!

This can be a first response to cancellation of Independents Day 3 so now we will live through it instead.

The stupidest thing about this paindemic, suffering and panic is that it's easier to make money while you sleep due to the boosted stock exchange. Maybe it's time to fund the movie and save the world. Why isn't that money used as a productive bonus for people who employs people. Strange strange world.

I'm not entirely sure what is going on with humanity. Maybe it will clear up after Brexit.

Covid is a relative of the common cold, the common flu, SARS, MERS, and Ebola...
We have made successful vaccines for many kinds of viruses..
Never for the common cold or flu...
At best it will be a twice yearly vaccine shot ...and that will be efficacious against the strain of Covid it was meant for...not as effective against mutated strains..
My Unc was a Prof of Medicine and Pharmacology ...and studied exactly nasty bugs like this...
This is a species altering event.
This bug is on every continent ...everywhere..
We will never be rid of it..
In 1 human infected, the virus replicates and tests no less than 2000 mutations in that 1 infected person ...trying to be a better virus..
Some mutations are unsuccessful ..some are successful.
Think on the variable number of nasty strains cultivated by a single country's population...then multiply that by the globe's infected numbers growing at ever increasing rates.
Think on the fact that asymptomatic infected people may not be affected by the virus...THE immediate strain of the virus that has affected them...
But the next or the next or the next strain may not be gentle on that person.
And for those who have been infected and survive...the long term permanent damage to virtually every organ in the body ...including the brain...That is bad enough...for them...
But the next strain that sweeps through?
What then?
Cumulative damage on that scale of severe damage is enough to kill a person the 2nd exposure...or the 3rd...or the 4th...
I can't think that many would survive a 2nd severe infection exposure.

Unfortunately the only way to get into Canada now is have family here..or get married to a Canadian.
We have tightened up the border ...put more border staff on ...
Even US residents trying to get across on the pretext to go to Alaska...are now monitored.
Any one deviating and trying to cop a vacation ..or be in Canada under false pretenses ..other than the allowed ones..

That was perfectly fine PCT (pre-covid times) for third country individuals who were not US citizens...it being part of our government legislation and law...
and rightly so.
Now in the midst of this epidemic ...the whole issue of 3rd country asylum seeking here is a bit on the fuzzy side...since quarantining of individuals is necessary ...And since the initial onslaught of folks fleeing the US for Canada was escaping their newly imposed laws and enforcement in rounding up non-citizens...most are already here...
Few are left who stayed longer and are now walking to our border crossings to seek asylum in compare to the earlier times when there were many...mainly due to them being taken into custody for deportation...

But the Canadian laws and legislation regarding asylum seeking and including the US ....is as the article you mention...presents...is for 3rd country asylum seekers currently in the US. and seeking asylum here..in Canada...
Unfortunately it is not for US citizens.

Every few moments in the US someone is threatened on the preceding grounds...or killed so..
And it is all legitimized as the freedom to do as one wishes...as an inalienable right.

For Canada to acknowledge this humanitarian nightmare imploding to the south of us...
and help / cure / fix it / end it

We would be either overwhelmed as a nation with asylum seekers and unable to cope with such numbers of fleeing Americans..

We would have to take the hard stand of what is right...
and address the problem head on...

I heard today that vegans are immune to Covid-19.
