done that, and trust me, the most hideous job you can have. You have to move as fast as possible to finish all the tests and find all the bugs and pass to the next stage. And if you find an almost random bug, you have to try to explain it to the stupid programmers who can't understand you, and most of the time they aren't even close to you.
And boy, you panic when you don't find a bug .... (trust me you want a bug, because if you validate that stage of the product, and at the next part someone find a bug in your part ......)
Plus you have confidentiality contract of..... security etc.

Im a test engineer right now for nokia middle east, responsible for arabic issues and other general observation...

I have to say that you've got a point there ....But for me im reaaaally loving the job...And its my first job ever after graduating.

I dont know about you though...

For me i dont deal with the programmers directly, but we send them report about the issues we find

The most thing bugging me, is that many many issues reported are not fixed in newer firmwares....Even some MAJOR issues (specially in Arabic)

Still...The best thing is...Prototypes baby

Also i dont have to change my mobile often....cause every week we get something different to test

But in the end....I LOVE IT
