start a new email message. that light grey bar for the "from" slot with the orange text of your default email account is nearly impossible to read. the color values of both colors are so close it makes the orange text blend into the grey. sorry to hit this point again, but i really think it's problematic.

White wont work because the secondary color(orange now) is also the text shadow color so text and shadow would be white. That makes it look blurry. We could go black it might work on the grey but we might still run into issues with dark backgrounds. I would have to lighten some of the backgrounds.

Is the shadow necessary? Sometimes text shadows make text less readable. Maybe worth a try?

Also, darkening the greys might let you keep the orange text.

Nothing I can do about the shadows some applications/widgets just build it in. I can darken grey if you think it will help

Ok. There seem to be several shades of grey, including the one I mentioned above (email/new message/from slot).

Also, what about yellow for text? Similar shadow problem?

Yellow would be shadow color if I change it not sure about how it will look but it shouldn't make it blurry. How will it look with the orangle in theme?

I think yellow and orange are quite compatible. Red + Yellow = Orange

Not sure I would want that. I love the simpicity of this theme, and not a big fan of text backgrounds. If it were a small, single, pale watermark? Maybe... ~|:-/
