eh, I think you're all reading into this too much. N900 is always the exception to all the rules Nokia plays by. Its the only one not running Symbian. Anytime they say "all" phones I think they mean "all except the N900 because we'd have to completely write a whole separate version just for that one device."

N900 is advertised as a smartphone and my take on all NEW smartphones is, all NEW smartphones with GPS i.e. if your buying a new 5800 or a nokia 5230 or any other gps enabled.

So I hope N900 is included

So you've never met a marketing poster that showed understanding of the real world entirely?

nope, n900 is old, 5800 is a mummy. even x6 is old by now. any gps-enabled smartphone released after the announcement is new.

The N900 won't be 'new' in a month, it'll be a 3 month old phone/computer/whatever

so you ignored the facts and had full faith to marketing claims? good for you.

hmm, what's this?

Hi Folks

http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...2&postcount=39

Patience is in order......

Basically, looking good for the next FW release but if QA have found issues, I am sure you would rather Nokia fix those issues rather than rushing it out. People will only complain about how flaky it is on forums like this

Hello,

Here is what I think about ovi maps "free" release on maemo.
On symbian, they annouced the availability of the application just after Qt 4.6 official release for symbian. As Qt 4.6 should be officially supported on maemo with PR1.2 release, I think the latest ovi service will be available for maemo just after that (or maybe at the same time...)
