I had a few questions ..

What are the pros and cons of installing NITDroid to eMMC instead of microSD ? I know its faster but what are the cons ? Isn't eMMC the internal memory for the N900 ? Won't installing NITDroid on the eMMC mess up Maemo ?

Also, I have a 2 GB microSD card (which is virtually blank and was put in for the sole purpose of using it with NITDroid if needed) and I'm running the stock kernel ..

If I want to install NITDroid to eMMC, do I follow ALL the steps, or only from step 7 and onwards ?

Pros: snappier, less heat producing, battery runs much longer, and everything you'd think of
Cons: as usual no phonecalls , gps yet
You'll need an empty sdcard any empty one will work. (Sandisk is an exeption). You should start from the first step if nitdroid wasn't preinstalled on your microsd.

pros:

* like previous poster said - extra speed that makes everything better incl better battery usage.

cons:
* a dozen more dirs (folders) in the "/home" directory - but it will not mess up maemo...
* nitdroid will eat space on eMMC instead of microSD

personally i havent experienced any problems at all with nitdroid on eMMC

but make sure u get the ".05 / .06 version" stuff correct or otherwise there will be problems

well yeah it will eat space but not if you have one of the custom emmcs installed. Personally prefer the 8GB

So basically first you have to install NITDroid on a microSD in any case. Then after this is done, you move the data to the eMMC ?

Also, would a 2GB card work ?

Regarding making calls, I saw a video not too long ago which showed that you can now make and receive calls in NITDroid .. What was all that about if you can't make calls currently ?
