There are some plugins in the Diablo extras repository for MediaBox but they're for old version 0.96.x. They have no effect with the new version.
YouTube and Shoutcast are integrated into the main package now.
FM Radio is still missing, but will come.

Are there any plans to port the FM-Radio plugin for the N800 to the N900, that would really be great?
Also, I would like to use MediaBox as the default player for gPodder, but it does not show in the player selection under the gPodder settigs.
UKMP has nothing to do with MediaBox. It must have come from elsewhere.

FM Radio is planned.

For gpodder, thp and I will have to agree on a common interface for loading files. Should be no big problem as there is already a D-Bus service in MediaBox.

That's interesting. How can it be missing?

great job-any chance of porting streamripper to mediabox to record internet streams -the double click is great especially on the n810

Generally, the recommendation for avi is 400x240 video, bitrates no higher than 1200 and mp3 audio bitrate of 192. This is the "mplayer" setting in tablet-encode which does a good job for most of the stuff I throw at it. While no compatibility with osso-media-player is guaranteed at this setting most stuff will play in the regular media player. The "best" setting of tablet encode which does guarantee playability in osso-media-player is the same as mplayer with a video bitrate of 768 instead of 1200.

Installing non standard kernels tends to do this.

Okay, I did this but the tablet just locks up and eventually states that it's no longer responding.

Could you test your side with this video when you have a chance?

Well, I know I'm pushing the tablet much harder than it can probably handle, but I really like overall the results I get with my settings.

For now, I'll just continue to launch them directly from mplayer instead.

Oh, and pycage, ignore stupid comment about the music player not being in full screen. For some reason, I thought I saw a different image of what it should look like but was wrong.

I tend to be wrong quite a lot now days. Stupid brain.

EDIT:
Just to add something about my .avi movies. If I select mplayer as the back end to play them through Media Box, it looks as though it's software scaling the resolution instead of hardware scaling like mplayer does.

Do I have a wrong setting somewhere? Thanks.

I did play around with a kernel allowing rotation, but I thought I re-flashed after that. Perhaps not, though. If that wasn't it, the file was missing for some other non-MediaBox related goof that I made.

Qwerty12's Headset-control does not work with Medibox. I remember there was a planned feature to allow setting play/pause or next/previous to single/double click.. Any chance of implementing it in the latest build?

Please, add headphone-daemon feature -- pause when headphone jacket pops out
