He bought mine last week. Jumped in at the very last second. **** myself when I checked his feedback - he's bought over 70 in August alone... besides any private buys. Dreading a PayPal email telling me there's a chargeback (cancellation) on his payment.

Not really worried, although PayPal isn't really 100%. And if a payer does a chargeback it's just unwanted hassle. But I do wonder why this one guy is buying so many...

Yes i also agree as this is very unusual and weird, there must be a reason behind buying so many of them so yes email him and ask him might be the easiest way to find out.
