how about a Nokia 3510. My dad has one, and they are indestructible.. he had one before and he accidentally put it into washer with his pants, and after we dried it out and worked for another 4 months... lol
I can definitely recommend Nokia 3510.

i use an E51 myself, it's actually my primary phone. the N900's my tablet+toy.

Still using my SXG75 as a 2nd daily driver, Does the trick being a smartphone+dumbphone.

Nokia 5210 would be a good choice, or you could get an 8800 sirocco.

maybe nokia 3720. fairly new model and also very tough.
