I have only recently been granted the ability to help in forums where this is relevant (mainly Off Topic) and will do my best to stay on top of things, Reggie. In fact I have already moderated some threads and tags. That said, I freely admit to adding harmless humor tags in some cases as well. If you tell me to cease, I will.

I am not trying to simply be argumentive, btw. I want this forum to work as much as you do.

Just an FYI, as I have mentioned previously:

There is no option to report tags as there is posts and threads, or is there ?

Sometime tags are funny sometimes they have no point whatsoever

I tend to use Report This on the first post and make it clear a tag is at issue.

great subject, i thought the tag 'thread creator is a dick' on the PR1.2 speculation thread was a bit harsh imho, but i still had a chuckle at it, as long as there firm and funny and dont offend anyone i think there ok just the way they are, i know if eveything was ultra serious all the time it wouldnt be much of a community, rather a dictatorship, but i do think the whole forum could be just a little bit more forcefull, like locking threads quicker if its a thread thats been discussed time and time again,

I think we should have tags and comments of sorts. Tags get embedded in a tag cloud and could actually do something useful. The stuff that gets tacked on a thread due to relative anonymity shouldn't be in there.

IMO tags should be moderated and public, while the comments could stay anonymous for comic relief and never get embedded anywhere.

Perhaps a tick for each tag as "Scan" or "use" or something that one could indicate his/her intention for that tag to be added to cloud - and only those be moderated.

Or if you people like cowardly comments perhaps we should enable anonymous coward posts a la /. ? Could free up the tags.

Was that intended to be offensive?
