No, there isn't soft material between the plastic tabs and the phone. I hope they know what they're doing...

I received the case today from mobilefun. Really happy with the case so far.

This is a quality case that allows you to use your N900 while being in inside.

Also all buttons are accessible while in use

didnt see you already ordered it from mobilefun.

in the last pic from the link that dik posted you can see a guy holding the phone to his ear - can you "bend" the case completely back or will the middle part always stand off the way it does in the picture?
in other words: can you bend the case more than 90 degrees on any of the 2 edges?

also, how much extra height does it add to the device in total?
do you have the cp-321 case? can you post comparison-pictures if you do?

I would love this case but for the fact that, along with all cases, it has to be removed when using the brodit car mount

I just got my CP-408: what a load of crap!

OK, overstatement. But how are you meant to answer the phone? It's really quite fiddly to get the N900 out of the case (not something you want to do while it's ringing) and yet it's super-awkward to hold in a speaking position with the case still on.

In the N900's identity crisis, this is a score for "not a phone". The CP-408 is a great case for a mobile computer...

I agree with spanner re good case for a computer.
It is indeed a lovely case and feels very well made.
odd to have an actual popper!
luckily it's been carefully designed so that doing up the popper doesnamt press the power button!
As far as talking on the phone goes.. case really doesn't want to bend backwards.. so it's a bluetooth headset situation really..
