My problems appear to be solved, I restarted my phone to try again, started yappari, and connected to the WIFI. It kept timing out for a minute or 4, each time receiving a few messages, then having a socket error, going into disconnect and retry connection. After this it stabilized.

Hi Scorpius,
I was trying to understand how does the retry mechanism work in yappari.
I noticed some scenarios, I'm sending a message while the network was connected,but the connection was erratic (ie timeout's and sort). The yappari has not detected the disconnection yet. The status is 'logged in'.
The grey tick appears. Now the connection get disconnected,I reconnect it back. But it stays grey and doesn't send it.
It works in case if yappari detects the disconnection. When i connect back,all goes well,it retries and sends it.
It is particularly problematic when sending multimedia,ie pictures.
It takes a bit to send the camera images,if it times out in between,it goes into limbo and stays there.
As i understand there's no retry implemented for multimedia(?)

Yappari kept hanging after synchronizing the last few days and I discovered a few minutes ago that I could solve the problem by deleting a few contacts from my phone a doing a sync. Could I please request that you check why Yappari hangs once the contacts exceed 1100+ contacts. All my contacts are in international format but not sure what info you'll need as I didn't see anything different from the logs. If there anything you need me to do to help you debug this other than my observation that I documented?

thanx great man, for the great app, here is my log file, i dont know whats wrong but some other tiimes my yappari keep on crashiing even if i try to re-launch it keep on crashiing i cant even reads my incoming txt

hi again, i have two questions:
1.- I follow the procedure to make the payment through paypal but my .conf file still says kind=free why is that and how do i solve it?
2. is there a way to change the sound of incoming messages for a different one?

Están caídos desde hace bastante tiempo y no creo que vuelvan aunque están haciendo un esfuerzo para ello. Nokia ha dejado de soportar Maemo y por ende ha asesinado los repositorios. Hay unos mirrors y un tutorial para configurarlos, más información en: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=88659

Jabber protocol supports that but Whatsapp haven't that option. Maybe is doable if Whatsapp not modified that part of the protocol, but I think that it's not something Scorpius will investigate in a near future. There is some others function with more priority and he is busy.
